I am a Diagnostic Cardiovascular Sonographer turned Photographer- born and raised right here in Wichita! I started out just wanting to take better photos of my boy when he was tiny. My hubby bought me a “fancy” camera when I was pregnant and it sat on a shelf and collected dust for 2 years before I finally decided to pick it up and learn how to use it.
Photography started out as a hobby, quickly became a passion, and is now a creative outlet that I rely on to keep me going!
I love deep colors, warm sunshine and sandy beaches…but here in good ole Kansas I’ll settle for the first two. I’m addicted to coffee and Target, I can recite almost every word to every Friends episode ever created, and the fabulous people working at Panera know me by name. I’m pretty laid back until it comes to my kids- then I’m 100% crazy. My faith and family will always be my number one and I’m blessed to be married to the smartest guy on the planet who keeps our world spinning, allowing me to run this little business and raise our beautiful babies.
When you book a session with me , I will never tell you to look at my camera and say “cheese” (Okay, maybe once or twice but that’s it!) I’m not a traditional photographer in the sense that I don’t care about perfect attitudes and perfect smiles and all that. I just want you to be YOU. I want your orneriest kiddo to eat that dirt, and your shyest babe to hug you so tight you can’t breathe. That’s the good stuff. I love adventuring and capturing special seasons of life for my clients. Time stops for no one and I love being able to freeze it so they never forget the moment and love between them.
I know how overwhelming family photos can be so I try my best to make my sessions laid back and fun. I’m always equipped with candy and fruit snacks because frankly, I’m just not above bribery.
